Jessica Alba x Diane von Furstenberg x China x A GANG Of Twitpics

Wow. Um. So I know this is definitely filed under the Dewey Decimal System under, "Uh DOY" but Jessica Alba is really pretty. Like, seriously, who but she can take heaps and heaps of photos of themselves in challenging lighting on a smartphone and still look so consistently angelic. Plus, she does stuff like make adorable fugfaces that are SO charming that they're winsome, too. She really should consider acting in movies and being in magazines or something... Anyway, to celebrate Diane von Furstenberg's hosting of The Red Ball in Beijing, as a part of her ongoing Journey of a Dress (an exhibition that celebrates the esteemed designer's more than 40 years in the business), Jessica Alba cataloged the entire journey on Twitter. From delicious meals, to shopping, to partying, to hobnobbing with other exceedingly gorgefaced actress types, to goofing around on random Sino-rickrack, all the goodness can be seen on the DVF site but check out our sneak peek below. Man, we <3 the immediacy of the interweb. *HUGS*

More deets on all you see here:

"The exhibition celebrates Diane’s 40-plus years as a fashion designer, art collector, muse and philanthropist with over 80 pieces from her personal archives, including the original wrap dress from 1973 and an assortment of letters, photographs, illustrations, and ephemera.

"In addition to the fashion archives, Diane’s impressive collection of art is also on display. Her museum-worthy lineup includes works by Francesco Clemente, Andy Warhol, Anh Duong, Julian Opie and photographers Helmut Newton, Mario Testino, Bettina Rheims and Chuck Close.

"While Journey of a Dress has made previous stops in Moscow (October 2009) and Sao Paulo (April 2010), this installment features newly commissioned works by four prominent Chinese artists. Conceptual artist Zhang Huan, photographer Hai Bo, painter Li Songsong and multimedia artist Yi Zhou all created exclusive pieces for this exhibition.

"Journey of a Dress" is on display at the Pace Gallery in Beijing from April 3 - May 14. Call 86 10 5978 9781 or visit the Pace Beijing website for more information."
