This weekend, Versace made its monumentous return to the Ritz hotel for the first time since Gianni Versace gave his last show there in 1997. The grand homecoming was marked by a collection Donatella prepared in honor of her late brother and a seriously star-studded front row. A varied crowd of celebrity Versace fans, including M.I.A., Glee's Cory Monteith and Lea Michele, and screen siren Elizabeth Banks, turned it out for the milestone event, and we HAVE to say, these ladies and gents looked HOTT (two t's absolutely necessary)!

Bad girl M.I.A. attended the show in head-to-toe vintage Versace. Opulent gilding was the primary theme of her ensemble with lycra leggings and a skin-tight top that in concert could pass for a jumpsuit and a cropped leather jacket draped over her shoulders. Glee stars Monteith and Michele showed up in Versace sleek with Cory in an all-over navy two-button peak lapel suit and Lea in a sleeveless orange dress from the Versace's Spring 2012 collection with grey suede pumps to match the shift's grey leather hip panels. Effie Elizabeth Banks opted for a light grey Versace Fall 2012 dress for the show with silver hook-and-eye accents embellishing the frock's rounded chest panel.

Jessica Alba stunned in the Atelier Versace front row in this black strapless leather Versace Fall 2012 dress. The corset-esque bodice was littered with Swarovski crystals, and Jessica kept the look edgy chic with dark eye makeup and black accessories. Fan Bingbing wore a dress from the same collection, this one a silver base with neon yellow accent panels, and accessorized with quirky cat-eye sunnies. Model/actress Milla Jovovich channelled a young Elizabeth Hurley in her Wikipedia-worthy Four Weddings and a Funeral premiere dress from 1994 with this LBD. Milla's latticed bondage panels hearken back to Liz's infamous safety-pinned Versace gown, one of Gianni's most well-known creations, a fitting tribute for the historic event.
